Al Gore is an Illusionist

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” (Sir Walter Scott

Americans are outraged of late, and justifiably so. Oil prices have skyrocketed to what some $135 per barrel, and may peak at 150-170 in the next three months?[1] How ridiculous. This more than the fact over 4,000 of our troops have lost their lives in Iraq, has created a sense of disgust and outrage. After all, it is true that our initial reasons for going after Saddam was to find a link to Bin Laden. Spreading democracy was also a close second on the agenda, followed by the need to preserve the second largest oil reserve in the world from remaining in the hands of a madman hell bent on blackmailing the country and holding  butts over a fire for the world to see.

This has caused many experts and political animals alike to begin to question present day distorted ‘standitalone’ policy on nuclear energy, as suggest a need to reconsider present what seems like wacko and idealistic environmentalist. American has lots of oil underground in places such as the artic that we need to go after.[2] This would send a strong message to those rag heads in the Middle East that we mean business and refuse to remain dependent on their black gold. The issue it seems has transcended politics and must be viewed as an economic one. High prices are affecting the US as it must compete in a global economy. Others are not scared to invest in the exploration of new resources while American suffers by strict adherence to rigid policies and standards.[3]

Should moral leadership remain over national needs? The bigger question is , if America is feeling such a pinch, what about emerging and poorer states as China, India, Brazil , Cuba, Venezuela, or even North Korea and  Iran. The Chinese and Indians are busy developing partnerships with countries such as South Americans and African despots and others to satisfy their particular energy needs, while Brazil has experimented for years with alternative energy in the form of sugar cane. You might recall that the fundamental reasons put forward by both North Korea and Iran for decades is the need for nuclear technology pursuit to fulfill dire energy needs. No wonder Al Gore has remained so silent in these moments of crisis, as if to say I told you? Our friends the Saudis are also out of ideas it seems. [4]The energy debate will forever remain one of the ever remaining paradoxes of this century and promises to continue to plague the US for time to come .It remains an issue as its leaders seek to address questions of energy, security, power, environment and global leadership in the context of internationally subscribed and binding laws. For the man on the street that will soon be paying ten dollars per gallon such matters means nothing. Just offer some relief soon he begs. Oh what a deceit I say, to no one in particular.

King Solomon's Mind

It is alleged that King Solomon might possibly be the wisest man that ever lived. Most of you might agree that this could be somewhat difficult to ascertain from a Sociological standpoint. However his action as he adjudicated one day in a dispute over the rightful parent of a child between two feuding women is nothing short of spectacular. You can remember the story as chronicled in the Bible I am certain, and can look it up at your convenience.[1] . After he requested a sword to split the living child in half and share with both possible parents, the truth was revealed as the real mother  presented herself by virtue of her horrified reactions at the thought of the murder of her child. I almost wish there could be a symbolic King Solomon today as I witnessed Obama and Ms. Clinton struggle for the soul of the Democratic Party and the nation heart. Let’s just say for the record that the reactions to efforts at resolving the matter amicably on Michigan and Florida and so unite the party behind one strong leader proved very instructive. The negative reactions by some fans even after a particular candidate was selected are mealy a reflection of the tone that was set by the respective leader. It shows utter contempt for the presumptive winner and his millions of supporters that are enthused by a novel message.

I continue to ponder the dichotomous reactions and its possible future implication for race and gender relations in their continued struggles for full equality. Again I was forced to pause and reflect while I asked who stands to gain? The mainly Caucasian   females that have overwhelmingly supported Hillary, perhaps believe that this is there moment to shine and propel the first woman into the White House.   The millions of blacks – some of which initially supported the Clintons- also feel pride in the way their candidate executed himself in terms of management, poise under fire, coherent message, and the ability to appeal to a wide cross section of America instead of falling prey to the caricature and stereotypical angry, threatening, black leaders that forces the white population to live in perpetual guilt for their actions or inactions in the furtherance of people of African descent. A few blacks are also probably concerned that Caucasians female have always benefited at their expense under the so called affirmative action , and this was perhaps another case of feminist elites piggy backing the Civil Right movements and once more extracting every semblance of benefits that they were able to acquire through , blood, sweat and sometimes tears. So how do we decide who should make the first move and exist for the other to take charge? Is a vote for one a denunciation of the other?

I always try in my admonitions to kids to pay particular attention to the choice of words they utter since these can have an impact and serious consequences over time. Take for example “American first Black President,”[2] and “two for the price of one.” The first was made by Nobel Winner Toni Morrison in the New Yorker sometime in October 1998. Many people did not take the time to read it, but simply ran with the catchy line and gave Bill all the love that he did not deserve. Remember he only moved to Harlem when he was prevented to join the West Side Elites in the Trump Plaza ,so don’t be fooled. It is only when he began behaving like a spoiled kid by speaking dismissively about Obama and his progress that we were forced to focus on him and his ambitious wife. We forgot how he treated a black intellectual and scholar Lani Guinier who was a trusted friend ,on her possible Supreme Court nomination. We ignored his actions against his former Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders and old Arkansas confidant simply because of a honest comments by this distinguished medical doctor on children and sex that offended a few of his Monica / White water dog hounds.  Welfare moms were thrown under the bus by a President   whose peccadilloes made him more of a security risk to the nation than Saddam and the entire KGB put together with Castro goon squad thrown in for good measure. How else can you explain having a 19 year old under JFK’s desk   at one in the morning when national security matters needs attention?

The point I am making is that until Toni Morrison drew our attention to her exact works a few weeks ago, we all had a different interpretation of her words. Now thanks to technology we all know what she really meant. The black reference was in relation to how he was treated by the media and the country at large. In light of this explanation Obama has a valid point and should be given the chance to prove himself as our first and not second black President. Hillary, you might be well advised to stay away from any old reference when campaigning against Mac Cain. 20012 since you are going to be the senior senator from New York and the same age as he is presently.

The Clinton has always prided themselves as working as a team. It is for that reason that Hillary takes credit for everything success story that occurred during the Clinton’s reign in power. It is from this closeness the expression “two for the price of one,” emanated. She helped shaped policies including the failed health plan. She was instrumental in getting don’t ask, don’t tell to keep millions of military gays political supporters their place. She is therefore in her own words an “ more experience” statesperson and never shied away from visiting a few troops – sometimes under crossfire- on the battle front. The only edge the Arizona Colonel may have on her is that he was tortured for five years in Vietnam while she was busy handing out Republican flyers as a campaign aid back in cold Chicago. It is therefore fair to say that Senator Hillary has served for eight years in the Whitehouse and so can be expected to await her turn until 20012.

The matter has finally been resolved Nancy served by helping her husband especially during his second term. Yes she hired and fired Chiefs of staffs. Roslyn ably assisted Jimmy Carter, and Ms Hillary has served. Bring it on Mr. Gore in 20012. Three strikes at the Presidency! Hey you never know! It works for baseballs and against criminals. Let’s go New York.

Open Letter to Mr Obama

Dear Mr Obama, I guess congratulations are in order. By the time you get a chance to read this letter you might have clinched the Democratic nomination and a chance to run against the good Colonel from Arizona in the general Election come fall. This is and exciting moment for all Americans. It is certainly wonderful to have an intelligent caring person with sound American morals, a true patriot with a keen eye for ensuring that we live in a safe and sound world with America at the helm. You have rallied well from the many salvos that were thrown your way. Now the real journey begins .You should not delude yourself in any way into believing that you are going to get some cakewalk forward. If you were to think that way then you are naive and have a limited under standing of what ambition is. You thought Hilary was though, well done be fooled by the Colonel’s age, nor by Hannity, and the Bills – O ‘Riley and Clinton that is. While you are at it pay attention to boards like that rambunctious New Yorker Harriet Christian. Do not for a moment believe that passionate, prejudicial, and racist condescending folks only come from the south. Come to think of it, the south might just be justified – they lost the war and their economic lively hood when all the ungrateful slaves ran away after emancipation. Southern folks are legendary with their anger, and hate loosing especially against intellectual, uppity yuppies with exotic names. Need I say Bill? Did I hear you mumble that you only ran against Hilary? With attitude like that my friend, the only changes you will be initiating come fall will be to your Senatorial quarters in Chicago your home town. Be forewarned, and therefore forearmed.

Now let us move on to the more serious and pertinent matters at hand. Keep the wife in check for heavens sake. Rumor has it that she might be your weakest link. I’ll give you one of my basic philosophical mantras; it is that “nothing succeeds like success.” Why not emulate the many who have come before and done well with respect to the wives? I know, you have already introduced yourself as an agent of change and cannot look to flip flop on such a fundamental issue. Well, guess what, still keep that ‘Princetonian’ yuppie Michelle in her place. Smart women like her can make their husband look dumb if they don’t learn proper strategic timing by taking care of the cookies.

Let me throw a few names out to you and may be you’ll get the picture.  First off, I like to separate pending first spouses into two camps.    They are as follows: Those who are smart, are known that is the case, yet need not thy and prove it and in the process upstage their husband especially before the acquisition of the grand prize. Then there are the others who you need to keep on a tight leash, always with a handler nearby. Let’s grade a few modern ones - Laura Bush- smart woman, Nancy Reagan – smart woman, The President’s Mom Mrs. Bush- smart woman. Then there is Marilyn Quale, Teresa Kerry, and Tipper Gore. There was something about those latter day  folks that just rubbed good old blue blooded Americans the wrong way. You should recognize that in the interest of fairness I deliberately left out two very famous ladies Hillary and her beyond the grave mentor Eleanor Roosevelt. Both husbands are quite skillful politicians that knew the way to control their spouses was to keep them busy, while they as men  were free to do whatever their wives did not wish they do. Am I being logical thus far?

As you move forward in this final phase you must learn a few things such as holding your thoughts and mouth in check at times. You cannot always lay it out. Keep denouncing traditional enemies and pander and cuddle friends as is the norm. Yes, I know, change! America is a democracy, and not England. We do not deal with anachronistic traditions such as manifestos. Our President must not be made to feel   constricted in any way. The outgoing President may say he left a surplus, and when you audit the books, it may really be a deficit. Always be prepared for surprises, no one planned for yuppie disgruntled Muslims terrorist and natural disasters of such proportion as Katrina.

I am going to now present your most important pre -presidential challenge. Please choose a VP wisely. Remember my philosophical mantra on success? It may mean the difference between political suicide, and an opportunity to crash the Mt Rushmore party with the likes of Jefferson, Lincoln, TD Roosevelt, and Washington someday together with your own holiday. By the way, I like your modesty about your ears.   You might not know but your large ears is not such an impediment but might have worked in your favor on if one can judge by the polls – Mr Mc Cain is trailing. It is only you that can decide why you choose some one. Is it to bolster your image, balance the ticket geographically, but whatever    you decide, YOU WANT TO WIN! None of that Hillary nonsense that woman knows her US history too well.

While we are on the subject, do not forget to wish the liberal lion that we all adore Mr. Ted Kennedy, a speedy recovery. Talk about a courageous man with love for his country. That’s what leadership is all about, and not polls. Leave the Caucasian woman or Hispanic folks alone, it just won’t work this time around, and the nation can only take so much at one time. Lack of experience they claim might be your nemesis correct? Well it was also for two other successful Harvard Grads like you. Can you remember who the greatest Senator was in American history? Yes, it was L B Johnson. Without him the handsome and charismatic JFK might still be waddling in Massachusetts without Marilyn or Camelot. Of course, we have the most powerful VP in the history of the country, Mr. Dick Cheney your cousin. Talk about a funny straight shooter. He is already campaigning for you it seems in West Virginia, Utah and Texas. Seems he has some negative feelings about incest. He seems to be leading the fight against Mc Cain for now. That’s experience for you however. Go save America, and good luck my friend- you’ll need it. I promise to touch base with you as time progress. Stay Strong.

Yours Truly

Regards

FeminNazis and Environmental Wacos

There was this rather funny and maybe controversial book that was written years ago about a famous former DJ and popular Conservative talk show host. It was entitled, “Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot.’ He has been a torn in the side of today so called liberal politicians and thinkers for years especially a certain left leaning Senator form New York and her famous husband. His attacks however was not limited only to the first couple or Michael Fox, but to over zealous environmentalist and the feminist that often considers sex as rape and are excited about women murdering babies through abortions. For the record, Limbaugh might be big and perhaps fat at one time, but I don’t believe that is still the case today. He is certainly no idiot, and the Democratic Party led by the Clintons will soon find that out come November. He has single handedly orchestrated the biggest set up of the century and perhaps the final demise of the Democratic Party as symbolized by the donkey as introduced by Old Hickory.

The expression out with the old and in with the new has never been truer. For eight years the President’s Brain Carl Rove dictated every strategic move to ensure Republicans success. He is now free to take a long rest so as to review brooks written by former right-hand folks of the President. The new Sheriff Rush from Mosourri is in town, and he means business. As much as he despises the maverick liberal Arizona Senator with a passion, his hatred for Bill and Hillary is legendary. Hillary claims that she has 17 millions popular voters to her name, Rush perhaps have half the nation tuning in each day to his talk show. He encouraged them all to rush out and temporally register as Democrats and vote for Hillary.

Come the fall they will promptly support the Republicans instead, thus ensuring that Republicans reign another four years. It is a stroke of genius, as Rush is blessed with very loyal fans .It has prolonged the primaries for the elections and created much destabilizations and confusion within the fractured, confused, and headless DNC. In the mean time every day some new allegation is trotted out in an effort to tarnish the image of the front runner. I won’t be surprise if one day a headline came out that Osama is hiding Osama under his bed and Rev Wright is really Dick Cheney gay daughter real father and not Dick. Now that can really harm Obama’s chances. So on inauguration day as the flags are being waved and the confetti’s are falling, remember who should get the credit, and where you heard it first. Hail to the chief.

Both senators should not be too angry however, look at what happened to Al Gore. He lost an election and won a Nobel Prize, only in America. Rumor has it that his name is again submitted in another category for inventing the internet. The junior Senator from New York can take over the mantle from Senator Kennedy and be a force to recon with as America has no place for runners up or brides’ maids. Ross Perot, Ralf Naider and the pro wrestler Navy Seal governor guy from Minnesota tried to create an independent party that did not work. There you go Obama. You have work to do, thanks to Rush of course.
